'Workplaces that Work' is a half-day workshop designed to give employees the strategies to develop a co-operative and productive workplace.

It will cover:

• Understanding stress and frustration
• Building rapport and relationships with customers, clients and colleagues
• Maintaining friendly conversations
• Improving self confidence
• Developing effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills
• Dealing with difficult people and bullies

This highly informative and practical workshop is ideal for Australia's emerging international workplaces. Participants will role-play, improvise and consolidate essential skills to build social and emotional resilience.

Your presenters:

Evelyn M. Field is a practising psychologist, speaker, author and internationally recognized authority on bullying. Her books "Bully Busting" (Finch, 1999) and "Bully Blocking" (Finch, JKP.2007) have sold 30,000+ copies, in six languages. She has spoken to academic and business organizations in Australia and overseas. She is a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society and a media spokesperson. She features regularly on television and other media.

Barbara John is an international voice and speech educator. She conducts training in voice improvement and communication skills for corporations and organisations in Australia and overseas. Her clients include GE Money, Sensis, Westpac, universities, state and local government. She is on the panel of Drama and Speech Examiners for Trinity College, London.
