Hello...

The past few months have been very challenging for me. Firstly my dear brother in law lost his valiant fight with cancer. He became ill in 2003, the cancer travelled through his body and he travelled world wide, by plane, phone and email, to consult with doctors and alternative health specialists. He did not give up until the last few days. He was a businessman, beginning small and expanding until he left a very successful organization. Like at work, he worked with a medical team, always supported by his wife. He always saw the cup as being half full; everything, even bad things, presented a challenge. He could find something worthwhile in everything, even cancer!

Secondly, I have finally signed a publishing contract for my self-help book on dealing with workplace bullying with Australian Academic Press! This has taken about eight years! Maybe the universe wanted me to publish it now! Perhaps it was due to my lymphoma, lots of rewriting, further research and a lack of marketing awareness by publishers, who didn’t recognise the need for books on workplace bullying. Whatever the reason, it will be a good book, with a great publisher and prove that persistence pays off!

  • They take support and feedback from a good network.
  • They believe they have the power to make a difference.
  • They can laugh at some of their problems.
